... it is crucial to synchronize the country-designs in such ways that we will generate relevant comparisons

Wendy Willems (WP 3; Zambia),  Katrien Pype (WP4; DR Congo), Ardis Storm-Mathisen (WP2; Botswana) and Jo Helle-Valle (WP1 & 2) meet on LSE's premises for a two-day kick off-meeting 8. to 9. of June. The main aim is to work out the research design details in the upcoming field-trips so as to optimze the comparative potential of the project. An aim of the project is  to do systematic between country-comparisons and since the themes in the three land-specific WPs have partly different contents it is crucial to synchronize the country-designs in such ways that we will generate relevant comparisons, and hence provide a foundation for generalisations of our findings.

As the post doctor who will conduct the South Africa-case is still not assigned this country-case will be aligned later.
